Produced in the ‘covid years’ the project was moved from one press to another, compromising the letterpress standard of ‘perfect printing’. The boadside reflects the physical disruption intensity, anxiety and frustration of the labour. Printed on 100% cotton sheets from St Armand Quebec, it also echos Judith’s angst in preparation for her act, evident in Albert S. Cook’s 1888 translation from
the Old English and updated by scholars Sheril Hook, Alison Moore, and Iris J. Gildea.
